Hannah was commissioned to write ‘When I Am Old’ by Glyndebourne Opera in 2011. The Youth Opera Company toured the production to the Tete a Tete Opera Festival, London and to the Jerwood Space at Glyndebourne Opera in August 2012. The piece was inspired by the writings of Rachel Corrie, the 23-year old American peace activist killed in Rafah Refugee Camp in Gaza, West Bank.
