I was commissioned by Garsington Opera in 2011 to write an opera for 60 secondary school performers, an audience of primary school children and two professional opera singers.

The opera was based on Vivaldi’s L’Olimpiade and contains four arias and an overture from the Vivaldi, all interwoven within the piece. Eugene Skeef was invited as guest composer/master drummer to write choruses for two scenes within the piece.
